Yes, I've grown up in the San Fernando Valley so I've seen it develop over the last 5 or 6 years. I can think of probably 10 dispensaries within a few miles that have prices capped at $30-35 an eighth for top shelf. Many also have specials on lower quality/drier product, suitable to the joint/blunt budget crowd. I have seen $99 ounces recently - obviously lower quality unless you are from the Midwest or South haha which TRTC is currently positioning themselves to capitalize on ;). These clubs in LA are not always the best-known spots (a few of the $30 caps are pretty major...pricing is correcting with flood of product from big timers up north. Nothing like the awesome amount of product that TRTC will be producing and be one of the exclusive providers to State-regulated recreational dispensaries, IMO) - many charge $45 still, but that is definitely changing more and more.
Can point you in the right direction if you would like to see evidence (check Weedmaps, can see menus in different states... one $30 example being Kush Collective by the little Van Nuys Airport. Every strain is capped at $210/oz). Dispensaries elsewhere are charging over $45-50/eighth (conservatively) for top shelf, even in CO. Blum's pricing is surprisingly higher than I expected to see with top shelf at $53, but the pricing seems to be different up towards San Francisco, etc.
