I believe we can assume a few things from the HF strategy:

1) Repeatedly attempt shake out the weak hands and longs in past attempts. That idea is done and tried

2) Keep a lid on SP over these past few months. Aka buying time.

3) As you mentioned, create doubt or scare NEW buyers to limit buying. Use SS as the hired gun for HF. This will fail.

4) As James mentioned, hope for a miracle collapse. Not happening, too much money backing this.
