Looks like Mr Putin, Gazprom intend on investing in the Neuquén Province, along with buying a piece of the German Wintershall. They aren't making any more land down there, things are tightening up.

(loosely translated)
"Before the arrival of Putin, the Russian Gazprom puts a foot in Vaca Muerta"

"The interest of Russians could focus in the province of Neuquen, more exactly in Aguada Federal, where there is a well which became the Vaca Muerta shale and which was carried out by the State oil company Neuquén GyP."

"In the market, they speculate that the arrival of Putin will end close the agreement discussed between the Russian leader and Cristina Fernández last year in bilateral meeting at the Summit of the G-20 in Russia. At the meeting, Putin reaffirmed his intentions to advance an Association of Russian gas and Gazprom with YPF oil giant to invest in Vaca Muerta."
