ALSK received $100 MM from a competitor (GCI) and formed
Alaska Wireless Network (AWN). They used this money to
pay off debt and give stockholders a $2 divi. The stock then
dropped from $4 to $2, as expected, but instead of climbing
back up it kept on dropping to the range it is at now. I think
this is the bottom and it is way oversold. But the market
does not not think so. I think the market doesn't think of
Alaska at all except for fishing and oil. When they do, they
are more afraid of Verizon just entering the Alaskan market
than anything. But ALSK anticipated that and have a business
plan to cover it. Buy and Hold, or add at this level. IMHO.
