Russia funds new Armenian nuclear plant

YEREVAN, July 7. /ARKA/. Part of the funds for construction of the new nuclear power plant in Armenia worth $4.5 billion will be provided by Russia in form of products and equipment, Armenia’s minister of energy and natural resources Yervand Zakharyan said as quoted by the press office.

The other part is expected to be received as financial assistance from other countries, the minister said.

Zakharyan also said the start of the construction is scheduled for 2018-2019.
