But in other ways parents have given astonishing control over curriculum. The most disturbing example that I have heard of recently is that some scools decided that it would be just dandy to teach 7 year olds how to perform safe gay sex. As you said, many parents of the "me generation" are just looking for a baby sitter. They also seem to care less as to what is taught as well.
