No doubt there are penalties and interest involved. The IRS is now consider "The Friendlier IRS" but are still greedy. Like I said I assuming that there is a payment plan already set up between the IRS and MRIB. I think saying that if MRIB didn't pay tomorrow they would be closed down is a little far fetch for someone to say even for berg's.
