NEWL do a lot of business in China. Newlead Albion and the Crystal that is due to be delivered were bought for $36M from Chinese shipping company Maple Shipping in March 2014. Reading between the lines NEWL are going to be exporting coal from their $108M valued Five Mile Coal Mine and Viking Mine in Kentucky at the end of this year. They have a coal wash plant and a TSX rail loading facility near the Kentucky mines. China being the world's biggest importer of coal and NEWL's contacts there I reckon this is the plan. A jv with a big Chinese power company would be nice!
