I want this to pay off just as badly as all of you. Please stay rational.

I believe that this is a legitimate opportunity, but I am also, as optimistic as I am, getting frustrated with the lack of communication and clarity from the CEO. I won't, however, let this take me to a dark place where it seems to have taken many already.

On the ads...
I believe the campaign has started, but perhaps intentionally, the ads are few and far between, and not at the ideal times for maximum viewing. I say intentionally because it would make sense to start slow as to not overwhelm new staff. I could be wrong though.

On the Alexa rating...
It has plummeted in recent days, so keep an eye on it. If it jumps back up, be relieved. That means good things are happening and traffic is being driven to thedirectory.com.

On talks of buyouts...
All I can say is don't say it can't/won't happen. Google has acquired or merged 20 companies in 2014 to date. I haven't heard of a single one. Please don't assume that NO ONE with deep pockets would consider buying out or merging with SEEK.
