I thought it is supposed to be a physical bitcoin that can be used as storage for electronic bitcoins. No other way to justify the $700 price tag on the device. I'm confused here if what you're saying is true. If it's nothing more than a storage device, couldn't one just buy an inexpensive flash drive for this purpose?
