Many thanks to all of you for responding to my Windows OS poll

I am sometimes amazed at what all you folks know, and it is always interesting to hear your opinions.

FWIW, I have XP on my second computer, and love it, and wish I had never gotten Vista on the newer machine..

Because of the lack of support for XP, I feel almost compelled to do something different with one or both computers, but hearing greenehugh talk about his patches from Norton is rather inspiring.

One of my hometown gurus wants to put in Windows 7, and says that he believes Microsoft will support it until 2020, but who knows?

Doc recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and I don't much like it, but we did install the "Classic Shell" program and it behaves a lot more like a classic OS.

I am trying to make some decisions before I actually MUST make changes AFTER something has gone awry. (Which is usually how I do things...LOL)
