Again, that is a normal part of court process. It does not suggest that one side or the other is winning or losing. It might mean that the request was to force Basu to wear gold on trial day, and to force Grewal to wear black and white stripes. Obviously, such a frivolous request would be denied, and yes... I AM being sarcastic.

The reason that anyone here on iHub should care about yesterday's ex parte request is that if the request was for a trial continuance (ie: a delay of the trial date), then that request was DENIED, and the trial is still schedule to begin in 6 trading days on July 7th. That is probably why PPJE stock was up 20% yesterday.
