Ex Parte Motion - Denied

Go actually read the history of the trial, or ANY trial, on the court website. An ex parte application is simply a formal request by one side of a court case for SOMETHING. It could be ANYTHING that one side wants to request of the court. Attorneys file formal requests of courts all the time. This is nothing unusual at all. One side's attorney does attempt to get the other side's attorney to be present to make the request. If the judge needs both sides to be present to discuss the request, the judge will then schedule a meeting. Most of the time, the judge makes a decision to grant or deny the request without the presence of the other side because judge does not need both attorneys present to make a decision. If the other side does like the judge's decision, they can always file their own ex parte application to revisit the topic with the judge to provide further addition information to attempt to sway to judge to reconsider the decision. Again, all of this is part of the quite common workings of any court in the entire country.
