Mathan22: I've got a couple of questions. Is there a website where data on the number of repossessed homes is kept. I'm seeing so many that have been sitting for so long and its obvious to me that the banks have no desire to sell them because they aren't even listed. My take is that they are controlling the inventory which in turn is propping up the prices. It looks like they are trying to maximize their profits as the new owners. All you ever hear is that repossessions are down but no other info. Also when a bank owns a repossessed property do they have to pay property taxes on it or have they gotten some special treatment designed for that as well?
