Well contacting publix corp will not have your answers since I'm sure they had a meeting (if they had one no one knows they didn't even release a PR only a Facebook status with publix being the largest grocer) with a regional office probably the Miami area. Publix as a whole would never buy for all the stores until they know if the product will sell a good amount in a small area.
