S3d filed a patent a while ago, received feedback (disputes) on it (the X's and Y's you guys are talking about) and revised/updated the application for a second go round. they then received feedback on this one with less X's and Y's, which is good. so they have less disputes regarding the uniqueness of their technology or design on some features of the cell.

I wonder if most companies resolve all issues with these X and Y disputes, or if they send in (to the national patent offices) what they feel is good enough at some point. I'm assuming they cant satisfy all of the disputes on features.
