Godfrey---On and off topic---Sounds logical to me. Interesting about the Roman coins. Loking at my spare change I see lots of copper in the sivler. Or is that nickel or tin that looks like silver?
Was going to tell you about the Leonbergers. Ours came to us at our house on top of this mountain at midnight on new years eve last year. Could not find the owners. Fantastic dog and I've had several. A good Golden was my favorite
until this guy showed up. A very rare breed (only 1000 registered in the US) originating in Leonberg, Germany in the 1800's. The breeder, what's his name, wanted a dog that was good for search and rescue, good disposition, and looked like a lion. He succeeded in spades. He used NewFoundland, Great Pyrenees, Burmese Moountain, a little Bernard and another I forget for the breeding pool. The largest goes to 170 lbs, which is why they nearly went extinct in Europe during the World Wars as nobody could afford to feed them. Luckily ours is only 100lb. A Striking looking, powerful dog with a gentle, trustworthy
disposition but who will also guard the estate. Would highly recommend them if one can find one. A chick magnet as well, for the bachelors out there. Uh oh, was that PC?
