It's best to not worry about any taxes, at all. Especially if one is aiming to avoid short term taxes. If for some god awful thing happens, where you may lose -90% of your gains at month 11. Then, well, you would have made no $$$ for them to tax. Worry about making money, not avoiding short term taxes. Just saying....
