When stocks tend to ride the upper bollinger band (BB) (20,2) for a long period of time they tend to have a big drop afterwards that provides for a period of consolidation. Hopefully (bringing in that bias of being long) that logic can be applied to when the lower BB is ridden for a long period of time and a big pop ensues afterwards.
