So technically speaking if you were to short the TVIX longer term like 12 + months you most likely will not lose due to the design of the instrument. And yes I did do research.

TVIX is mathematically guaranteed to asymptotically approach zero!

I have been continually short since 3/11/13 when I sold my first lot short at a split adjusted $41.68. I add to my position monthly to maintain a selected short balance.

Selling short from $41.68 to $3.18 yields the same profit as buying at $3.18 and selling at $41.68!
