CNBC Kayla reported weeks ago that Alibaba originally wanted to go on August 8 for 8 being a lucky number in the Asian culture but would probably go before that sometime that week since 8/8 is a Friday...

And one poster at Yahoo message board points out that they'll announce after this quarter's results (choosing exchange as it was going to be a great quarter to get better pricing). cold...something (the one that thinks it knows it all, seems to have inside info)
