I have a friend who works for one of the top accounting firms here in NYC for over 20 years. I asked him what is the cost to have audited financials prepared for a company that is submitting them to the SEC. Obviously he asked why, I gave him some details and background on the KMAG situation. He called me on Tuesday,(yesterday) and told me that the cost varies depending on complexity, details, etc... So I asked for the general range and he represented that they could cost as little as $10,000.00 to as much as $75K-$100K. So the cost to get this documentation validated and audited is considerable and had better be accurate if submission is going forward with the SEC. I understand the skepticism from some longs, shorts and others about the delays that have occurred with KMAG. So I would expect some varying views of the audited fins. However, my belief is that a CEO who is willing to go forward and submit audited fins to get stock up listed, upgraded or whatever it needs to do, is determined to provide value for not only his client base but with his shareholders as well. KMAG continued to build client base and enhanced technology for additional value.
