Washington’s Recreational Marijuana Sales to Start July 1, 2014
?
By Monterey Bud on June 6, 2014

Washington state passed Initiative 502, the amendment that legalized recreational marijuana consumption, back in November 2012. Flash-forward 18 months, and not a single bud of Washington recreational cannabis has sold.

Fortunately, according to the manager at Kouchlock productions, Washington’s legal plan should soon go into effect. On July 1, 2014 Washington State will open its inaugural recreational marijuana shop in Spokane, WA.

Teaming up to open the state’s first licensed recreational marijuana shop are Scott O’Neil and Sean Green; while O’Neil doesn’t smoke weed, Green is the owner of Kouchlock productions, which has already established well run and highly profitable medical marijuana dispensaries in both Shoreline and Spokane.

Supply and demand…

Back in March of this year, the Washington State Liquor Control Board ( LCB) issued 35 licenses to produce recreational marijuana. Facing huge demand and an abbreviated growing season, many within the Evergreen State feel concerned that the reduced supply may mean a limit in the amount of weed a customer will be able to purchase at first.

At an expected cost of anywhere from $65-$75 an eight, recreational marijuana in marijuana will be just as pricey and highly coveted as it was in Colorado on January 1. O’Neill points to the restricted supply chain and explains that customers will be lucky if they can purchase an ounce at a time, at least until supply meets demand (and more stores open).

Hoping to avoid running out of recreational weed, the owners of Kouchlock have been reaching out to every license pot producer in the state to pump up their inventory for the historic July 1 opening.

In My Personal Opinion Of Course!
Long ANAS!
