Unfortunately, these tactics happen in the world of micro-cap stocks. I remember a few years ago a stock where the company hired a new CEO, gave him a lot of stock to the point he owned about 80% of the company. After the news hit the wires, I sold all of my shares as soon as the market opened at a loss.
