Actually, it was Bruce Berkowitz, your hero, who wanted to take out FnF. The government action to do the same thing was fractured, contentious and unsuccessful, which is why it remains, today, on hold, indefinitely. I still believe that this is Fairholme's plan, assuming it all plays out their way in court.
