Ridiculous. In the scheme of things a medical mj license is a pimple on the belly of prosperity. Do you think Canada is really that desperate for tax revenue from this source? Canadian banks unlike ours, are not under the same restrictions as to having accounts with producers. American banks are far more desperate for new revenues. How many Canadian banks went out of business during the last recession? None. How many American banks went out of business during that same time/ Hundreds. The Canadian government has been able to do something the USA government has not been able to do - balance a budget. The Canadian government stopped the takeover of one of its large potash mines in Saskatchewan, yet international businesses still come knocking. This sector is so small as to almost be meaningless. The BC growers, those outside the law, dwarf the legal business. It is American producers and sellers who are having issues with banking institutions, not Canadian producers.
