It should be obvious that Joe is hoping that he actually will receive his incentive shares, and as irrational as Chandana Basu has been behaving, one cannot really blame him for wanting to avoid anything to anger her, as it may screw up his chances. That is not how things should be. What Joe (or any of the others that are due their incentive shares) may say or do should have ZERO impact on receipt of what is rightfully supposed to be theirs, but things are not as they are supposed to be.
