Why does the CEO always reference "asset value" in PR's?

"The company is poised for rapid development of its technologies. This will provide asset value and dividends for our shareholders."

This is just one most recent example, there's quite a few more in past PR's.
I find that revenues are rarely a topic but its what grows the company. I find it odd that companies with little amount of assets can generate hundreds of thousands or millions in revenue yet WNTR has over $30 million in assets with less than a $1,000 increase in cash from the last QTR.
