I totally disagree. Yes it would be even more beneficial if the product performs well, but we would get our significant initial price pop to several cents (maybe more) just from reaching store shelves. Reaching store shelves is evidence that orders were made and paid for, which is evidence that retailers have at least some faith in the product, which will cause price rise. Again, I don't care what happens in the eye of public opinion a year later or if it's even pulled back off shelves. I would be gone by then with my hefty profits.
But mostly likely, it will stay in stores in the end I believe. Even just a placebo effect will provide a 20% improvement of symptoms on average, and completely non-effective items have remained in stores for years.
