Aus, that is a great read, and something I dare not to think about in regards to a solution. Imagine the Banking scandel back in the 80's, then compound that by 100, that way if something major was due as in 'halt', the entire system would go down. My opinion is that tweaking the system inch-by-inch will help drive honesty back to the plate, and unfortunately this is the only way to 'mend' what can never be restructured unless all want to see the market crash entirely. This should be an inside job where the SEC breaks written code, and opens the MM's books, thus enabling a slow and steady mixture of fix's without alerting the general public we have a major problem.

I think it can be done, but will we, and can we do it in a manner that will not upset the balance of TRUST.
