At face value, I have to agree with your analysis. However, being around public company stocks for some time, what I have seen in the past is the usage of public stocks to fund the development of fantastic companies, only to have "unexpected - TIC" circumstances force the sale of the company right out from under common shareholders noses, just as the company was ready to produce.
I hope Banro is not just another example of this scenario, because although a quick acquisition would be good for short term investors like myself, I strongly feel that Banro has much more long term potential.
Again, I just worry that Banro will be stripped from common shareholders before it can reach it's full potential, and at a much reduced share price, due to "unpredicted - TIC" circumstances (gold falling) that no one could have predicted.
