"Probably" and "maybe" aren't promises. As much as I think the words shouldn't be used unless the company is more certain, the lesson to me with them is to be more circumspect in communication with shareholders.

There's been some back and forth on whether that email is real, but whether it is or not, this is the internet and I error on the side of caution. An email to someone that's only a name on the internet is not something I take in any way as factual. It's a lesson for the company that anything said to anyone these days will be posted on internet boards and considered hard fact, so keep things very vague. There's no reason this board should have been caught for days in the idea of a pr coming Monday or Tuesday from one email to one person.
