It's probably taking a while to update all the accounts with the new DTC status.

I'd be curious to know for those of you that already have shares through Scottrade/Ameritrade if you can buy, versus those that don't have any shares - if they can buy.

Maybe Scotttrade/Ameritrade are borrowing against your own existing shares to give you more shares. God only knows what some of these brokerages do/get away with. Creative Accounting, or some kind of jazzy title' "Advance Purchase Loan on Collateral Equity in lieuof Capital Equity Assurance Forward Agreement."

Just sayin....
