my friend ordered the NP-1 last June and he was very upset that every time he emailed them they gave him another lie so he finally sent email to DF and here is his response in January 2014.

I have many people on the forums asking me about the player. I told them that it has been on order for ever.
Where are you at on this project?
It's simply not possible to make people wait like this. People lose interest.
Could you give me an ETA? I mean they can't be ordered one at a time from China, I'm sure you are getting at least 1000~5000 pieces?
OR?? is this a marketing feasibility study, with no product yet?



We have started shipping distribution and retail orders. I disagree with your statement that people lose interest. Online orders will start shipping in a few weeks. The first 15,000 went into the channel. The second run is 25,000 and will be used to cover the online sales and place inventory with Amazon.



We won two awards at CES for the product, it’s way beyond a marketing feasibility study.

Four months later and no one anywhere has one. Especially they supposedly 'started shipping distribution and retail orders' in Jan according to DF.

What's wrong with this picture?!
