It is my belief that they are pushing the a reverse split to help finance Phase 3 and other trials. If they have good Phase 2 results (like most are expecting) it will not be difficult for them to raise the PPS upwards of $100 following a 4:1 RS as this will solidify their entire pipeline, not just a specific drug. Now if this is the case, we all know Phase 3 clinical trials cost roughly $100 million give or take. Dr. Kim now has the ability to issue 1 million shares (causing very little dilution) that will raise $100 million for the company. This decreases the importance of gaining partnerships and leaves much more money in the pocket of shareholders in the long rub!
