Why is USTC on my Radar?
Florida may just well be the next state to outright legalize MJ.
Florida is all the buzz (pun intended) these days because of a number of logical reasons:

Florida has a distinct agricultural advantage with long growing seasons and ample water. Florida’s tropical climate is ideal for growing the much coveted “old school” heirloom sativas such as Acapulco Gold, Colombian Gold, Thai, Vietnamese, Purple Haze and other hybridized versions that have been highly improved to take advantage of their clear, intense highs.

The landrace (Heirloom) varieties or OG (Original Genetics) are particularly of great value to breeders because in the early 70s, growers carelessly crossed these landraces in the field with indica varieties forever losing their pure bred plants. Fortunately a world famous breeder named DJ Short was secretly collecting a seedbank of all of the landraces he could get his hands. Very few seeds for these are available for the public and have been tightly controlled by breeders who use them to breed Cannabis Cup crosses

Pound for Pound these seeds are far more valuable than the product they produce. Even with hybridized versions are fetching as much as $20 plus per seed.

Indica varieties will also be robust in Florida's climate but they can be grown in grow room situations but sativas benefit greatly due to the long flowering periods required making them unprofitable in a grow room environment. Florida is also ideal due to decades of commercial greenhouse production of vegetable, fruit and floral ornamentals and the infrastructure is already there

imo

Purple Haze and Other Sativas Can Take 12 - 14 weeks to Finish it's Flowering Cycle, This is as Much as Twice the Normal Flowering Period which Makes it Impractical for Commercial Operations and Even Home Grows Using Lights.
