Price goes down because they announced today that there will be no PR this week, so there's no worry for share price to take off and shorts and flippers can do their thing without worrying about getting caught with a bunch of shares, or without a bunch of shares if you're flipping. So the share price gets basically worked down by the MM's shorting the stock. Friday will be the end of the shorting with lots of news coming the following week...likely Monday.
