That's actually incorrect. Sony media streamers will work on any set. What's being repressed and convoluted here is Sony has special features with their content that the streamer can access which won't work with other streamers.

Just like roku service only works with roku boxes. Just like ultrasux wants to send 4K with it's own Sammy Davis 4K tv shows, but the nuvy will handle other services...but the nuvy isn't available anywhere so I'm going by some old ntek propaganda there and can't be quoted.

Sony media streamers will work with any TV and any 3rd party streaming service, you just won't get Sony features or apps etc.

100% incorrect. Sony doesn't even stream nor is it android based. Your movie must be uploaded and then it plays back, these comments are so far off they are comical.
