As I recall, MacKay owned preferred shares that gave him control of the company. What he said....went. But, there was a lot going on with TPID and transfer of Tech from SSTY to TPID and SEC problems.
So, I have no clue. You're right, it appears to be a rudderless ship.
I'm sure these are all issues that have been looked at if there is an attempt being made to revive the company.
