PRESS RELEASE
May 20th 2003
STEALTH MINERALS LIMITED
(SML-TSXV)
The Company has raised $1,270,000 to date in respect of its flow-through common share financing, 3,200,000 shares at $0.30 per share for a total of $960,000 and 1,240,000 non flow-through units at $0.25 per unit for a total of $310,000. A unit consists of one common share and one warrant with two warrants plus $0.25 to purchase an additional common share for a period of one year. This represents the first stage of its recently announced financing totaling $4.0 million. The Company expects to raise an additional $2 million in June. The Company is adequately funded to execute its planned exploration program on its Toodoggone Project in north central British Columbia.
The Company intends to contract with Hy-Tec Drilling Ltd of Smithers BC for a minimum 4,500 metres of NQ core drilling. The Company is planning to drill test eight prospects (one porphyry, three skarns and four epithermal targets) in a total initial program of 25 core holes. All of the prospects will be road accessible and helicopter support is not required.
Prospect targets include Wrich Hill, which is bulk tonnage gold-silver prospect where surface trenching revealed a chalcedony gold and silver bearing breccia with composite assays of 0.72 g/t gold and 9.0 g/t silver over 100 metres and 0.96 g/t gold and 11.1 g/t silver over 128 metres. Company geologists believe that Wrich Hill has potential to host a large-scale open pit gold and silver deposit.
Other promising open pit targets include the VIP West skarn zone where surface trenching exposed the mineralized zone for 200 metres alone strike and is open to the east and west. The composite samples from Trench Two averaged 1.77 g/t gold, 6.6 g/t silver and 0.19% copper over 51 metres. This equates to 2.14 g/t gold equivalent over 51 metres at current metal prices.
The drill program is expected to get underway in July.
