the portion of the Bakken Shale Formation that lies in eastern Montana made him look pretty good, as the fracking boom made it unnecessary to raise tax rates since their revenues spiked dramatically without a tax rate increase. he is pro-big energy and pro-fracking, which is not a surprise considering what it has done for his record.
