CPT Partners with Edgewater Casino Vancouver for the Spring Ultra Stack

The Canadian Poker Tour is pleased to announced that is has partnered with Edgewater Casino in Vancouver, B.C. to sanction the Spring Ultra Stack Poker Series May 22nd to June 1st. With over $750,000 in estimated prize pools this 6 event series looks to be one of the west coasts premier poker events and now will qualify for both Canadian Poker Tour Player of the Year points as well as Global Poker Index international player rankings.
There are a number of “ones to watch” at the upcoming series including Vancouver based Todd Fletcher who climbed into 2nd place in the CPT Player of the Year Race with stellar results at the CPT/Hard Rock Vancouver Poker Championships at the start of April. Not to be outdone, poker pro Sean Giesbrecht moved up the ranks into a solid 3rd place with 3 Final Tables at the hugely successful CPT Spring Showdown in Calgary. Even a min cash will vault either into the outright lead. We also look to stars in the making like Calgary’s Shane Brotherwood, a constant fixture in CPT results who has quietly climbed into 16th place with multiple cashed, taking advantage of the GPI partnered points system that rewards consistent deep runs.
Timed as a warn up for this year’s World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the Spring Ultra Stack will give players a great opportunity to tune up their game, get in tournament head space and potentially pad their bankrolls for what we hope to be another amazing year for Canadian players at the annual mecca of poker.
Event 1 - NLHE – Thurs and Fri May 22-23 - Day 1A and B - $450 + $50 buy in with 15,000 chips and 45 min levels – 2 day event
Event 2 – PLO – Sun May 25 - $450 + $50 buy in with 15,000 chips and 30 min levels
Event – 3 NLHE Turbo – Mon May 26 - $300 + $40 buy in with 10,000 chips and 15 min levels
Event 4 – NLHE Big Bounty – Tues May 27 - $300 + $150 + $50 buy in with 15,000 chips and 40 min levels
Event 5 – NLHE Super Satellite – Wed May 28 - $100 + $10 with 4,000 chips and 20 min levels
Event 6 – NLHE Main Event – Thurs and Fri May 29-30 - $900 + $100 buy with 25,000 chips and 60 min levels – 3 day event
