I think what happens is with the rush of EOD trading, someone didn't have time to record the trade until after the close when everything settled down.

But I have also seen where huge blocks will be bought up in a day but wont show on the time/sales. I believe this is a tactic to hide the fact someone is buying big until after the close, when tomorrow may be too late for new buyers. But only MMs would be able to do that, and also probably very illegal.
