The problem with your theory is that all shorts have that news in the back of their mind. No man has enough balls to spit in the face of a definitive deadline for dividends, no matter how untrustworthy all these pennies are I bet everyone here is going to trade their positions up until just near May 30th and then sell at most half their shares and wait for this 0.12 news. They published PR that will have everyone's attention until then. Don't doubt it.
