At this point I do not remember the Korean company name, or if it was mentioned in the article I had read. I only remember it was mentioned that it was a private company, so I ceased my research on the Korean angle at that point. I could not find the link to that company looking for a little bit now, but did find some of the research papers that were published on the Korean cell on the academic side:

In looking at it now, it seems sltd is further along and they have much more published than anyone else. The MIT and Georgia Tech cells are novel, but are more revolutionary and would not fit into a normal manufacturing process. I believe that is the barrier for adoption of those cells any time soon. The Korean and sltd cells are set for low cost manufacturing and both have patent applications in. So, as long as our cell works and can be mass produced at low cost, we just need to beat the Korean cell to market with good quality and results.
