I have a 4K set and have been using it for a year now. I have more experience than anyone on this board and have been a regular contributor to the A/V site for this set. It easily has over 120 apps on it 99% most people do not use. The 4K player from Sony (X1) plays over 200 4K movies and the newer model the X10 will be able to stream Netflix and other sites as well. That being said if you look on the site of users and so far there has been over 8500 post and half a million views you will find that from people who HAVE a 4K set and not those who don't but make positive projections the former hardly ever use it. It has been months since I used mine and I only turn it on periodically to get any updates to its software. Like I mentioned before on this site if you have a 4K set and sit 12 to 13 feet away you will NOT appreciate the difference in clarity. It is impossible. The human eye cannot detect a difference between 4K and a good bluray at that distance. I know you want to believe differently especially if you seen one at BB on full pop and I agree there will certainly be a difference at 3 to 4 feet but at normal viewing distances in your home I'm afraid not and I have one of the most experiences with a 4k set in the country. I have had many people over to my home to see 4K and I've proven that to them and they all agreed. Now if you have a true 4K projector and throwing a 200 inch picture then yes absolutely but how many people have that set-up. By the way, just because you have a 4K film doesn't even mean it will look good. How many times have you bought a Blu-ray and it looked no better than your regular dvd version. The gist of this is don't fantasize that if all is true at NTEK (which is very debatable), that they're going to make millions on people downloading 4K movies because its not going to happen.
