Birmingham, West Midlands — (TechSonian) — 15 May 2014 —Peregrine Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:PPHM) recently declared the opening of an investigator-sponsored trial (IST) of its investigational immunotherapy bavituximab in combination with Bristol-Myers Squibb’s ipilimumab (Yervoy®), for the treatment of advanced melanoma.

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:PPHM) gained 1.73%, trading on 1.06 million shares, to end the trade at $1.76. The stock changed hands in a range of $1.71 to $1.80, bringing its market capitalization to about $310.61 million.
