biz: From the initial complaint, it does not appear NeoMedia is going for a cash settlement. NeoMedia and Scanbuy are locked in battle of suing each other's clients. Something has to give and a cash settlement won't solve the problem of Scanbuy suing NeoMedia's clients.

Since the license was terminated, Scanbuy has both infringed NeoMedia’s patents and engaged in a series of attacks on NeoMedia.

I also don't see how a cash settlement helps NeoMedia in the long run. I have posted before that the Scanbuy breach could be more profitable than the Scanbuy license.
