He still has to cover and return the borrowed shares. The most a short could make is 100%. I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure if you go short your only looking for a few points. I'm not sure if a short would suspect this to go to.0001 just looking at support on L2 that wouldn't be a very could bet. IMO
