I wish us both good luck. Thanks for not accusing me of some ulterior motive btw. I try to tell it as I see it, and back it up.
Apparently you have a strong sense of justice and of what is right and what is wrong. I do too (which relates to my irl employ), and that sense tells me, like it does you, that, to quote you, "there is great news and developments surrounding this company including Dr. Lanza being named to the top 100 influential men in the world, and thus-how can the company possibly go bankrupt just like that-it doesn't make sense."
Indeed there is nothing fair about it. If justice, common sense, and 'what is right' prevailed, Facebook would be throwing their $19billion at ACTC, not at a their most recent acquisition 'Whatsapp'.
Sadly, and as I see all too often, common sense and fair play have nothing to do with reality. It sickens me that there's even a possibility that ACTC could fail due to lack of financing at the expense of such promising life-changing science, while huge sums of money are thrown at such relatively fleeting entities like 'Whatsapp', but this is a hard and sometimes incredibly self-centered world we live in, and any degree of altruism is trumped by the quick ROI over and over again.
It is what it is, and you have to work with it or be pushed to the side.
